Recommendations for the Task Force on New Americans

In late 2022, the U.S. government launched the Task Force on New Americans (TFNA). Led by the White House’s Domestic Policy Council, the task force’s mission is to strengthen and coordinate federal, state, and local efforts to support the integration and inclusion of immigrants and refugees in U.S. communities.

MPI’s National Center on Immigrant Integration Policy (NCIIP) has long argued for the need to create such an office within the White House. To support the task force's work, NCIIP has developed a set of documents highlighting pressing integration issues and offering recommendations for how the task force can organize its focus to address them.
