Alexandra Embiricos
Alexandra Embiricos was a Research Assistant with MPI Europe, where she focused on European asylum policies, social innovation for refugee inclusion into host communities, and economic integration of refugees.
Prior to joining MPI Europe, Ms. Embiricos worked a consultant with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and in outreach for a social enterprise connecting civil-society organizations for refugee inclusion in Berlin. She also interned with International Crisis Group in Senegal, where she conducted research on West African irregular migration to the European Union, and volunteered with NGOs (including Asylum Aid in London).
Ms. Embiricos holds an MSc from the London School of Economics, with a focus on European studies, with distinction, and an MA (Hons) from the University of Glasgow in English literature.

The third Social Innovation for Refugee Inclusion conference in Brussels, co-organized by MPI Europe with the U.S. and Canadian Missions to the European Union and the European Economic and Social Committee, explored how innovations in living situations for refugees can promote community-driven inclusion, overcome divisions, facilitate economic opportunities, and foster a sense of "home."
