Sharika Peiris

Sharika Peiris is a Chief Medical Officer and Migration Health Program Manager at the International Organization for Migration (IOM). She is the technical focal point for IOM Health in supporting the government of Sri Lanka in implementing the Inter–Ministerial National Action on Migration Health. Dr. Peiris has coordinated several innovative programs, such as the National Border Health Project. In 2014 she led the establishment of a health assessment process for the UK government. She is a consultant community physician (MD, MSc) with expertise in public health, health informatics, and migration health.
