Citizenship in Britain and the United States

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, in one of his first decisions, ordered a major review of citizenship in advance of new legislation this summer.  In the United States, the importance of citizenship has been ever present in the ongoing immigration debate.

As the scrutiny of citizenship policies increases on both sides of the Atlantic, MPI is pleased to host a discussion by leading thinkers on the latest developments.  Lord Peter Goldsmith Q.C., the former Attorney General of Britain (2001-2007), and the person charged with leading the citizenship review, will be giving a lunchtime keynote.
